Andrew Greenfield

Brand USA Board Member

Andrew Greenfield is the managing partner of the Washington, DC office, of Fragomen, the world's largest immigration law firm with more than 40 offices on six continents. He serves on the firm’s global executive committee and has been practicing U.S. immigration law for more than 20 years, advising domestic and multinational employers, including leading technology, hospitality, professional services and consumer goods companies, financial and educational institutions, start-ups, non-profit organizations, and NGO's, on all matters of U.S. immigration and nationality law, regulation, policy, and global compliance, including global immigration program management. He counsels clients on visa and work permit matters and on the immigration consequences of mergers and acquisitions and other corporate reorganizations, as well as I-9/E-Verify, H-1B/LCA and PERM compliance, including audit representation. He also advises international treaty organizations and their officers and employees regarding the application and limitations of diplomatic privileges and immunities, related State Department law and policy, and U.S. work authorization and residency planning for G-4 visa holders and dependent family members.

Mr. Greenfield heads Fragomen’s DC-based tourism and hospitality practice group, where he assists U.S. and global hotel and hospitality companies in ensuring the seamless movement of key personnel into the United States in support of the seasonal and long-term demands of domestic and international tourism. This has provided him with key insights into the immigration requirements of U.S. hotel, restaurant, and hospitality companies, as well as invaluable knowledge of the business operations of these employers, including their efforts to market their brands internationally.

An advocate for the design and execution of sound business immigration policies and international travel procedures, Mr. Greenfield has developed excellent working relationships with U.S. consulates across the globe, as well as with numerous ports-of-entry that are served by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). His efforts include advocating for fair, reasonable, and timely visa application, adjudication and issuance procedures, as well as related entry procedures, that further CBP and the Department of State's joint missions of facilitating international tourism, trade, and commerce without diminishing the government’s ability to address national security concerns. Mr. Greenfield has served on the Washington, DC executive committee of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and on the board of directors of AIPT, the Association for International Practical Training (now known as Cultural Vistas), which is a non-profit, international exchange organization that is authorized by the Department of State to facilitate connections between Americans and international visitors that are exploring career opportunities.

Mr. Greenfield's achievements in the immigration field have been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers, the Legal Times, Chambers USA, Super Lawyers, and the Legal 500. He received his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, and his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School.
