Aaron Wodin-Schwartz Promoted to Senior Vice President, Communications and Public Policy

Long-time Brand USA team member, Aaron Wodin-Schwartz, has taken on the new role of senior vice president of communications and public policy. In this capacity, Aaron will lead and manage a multi-function team responsible for the development, execution, and outreach for public policy and corporate communications. The purpose of this work is to promote and advance Brand USA's mission and raise visibility worldwide for the organization, build community engagement, and respond to requests from these stakeholders regarding the organization and its successes. The senior vice president functions as a liaison with all levels of government and key stakeholder organizations, and also focuses on strategic engagement and communications surrounding Brand USA’s programs, including media and other corporate communications channels. 

Aaron is the first Brand USA employee to celebrate his eight-year anniversary at the company. He joined Brand USA in November 2011, serving as deputy director of strategic outreach until October 2012, and subsequently director, public policy from October 2012 until his promotion to vice president, public policy and public affairs in January 2017.  During his tenure with Brand USA, Aaron has successfully established a variety of programs with federal partners that highlight unique aspects of the United States and deployed a unified promotional campaign through U.S. embassies and consulates and Visit USA committees around the world.

Prior to joining Brand USA, from 2009 to 2011, Aaron served as a presidential management fellow at the Department of Commerce. Among other things, he worked on the original implementation of the Travel Promotion Act after it was signed into law in March 2010.
