Brand USA highlights in Singapore, Taiwan & Hong Kong

Singapore: "American’s Musical Journey" Premieres
Brand USA’s giant-screen film – “America’s Musical Journey” – premiered at the Singapore Omni-Theatre at a Science Center, located near the city center.

The movie – which showcases the musical treasures of the United States past and present – was shown from April 27 to May 31 at the Omni-Theatre, Southeast Asia’s first 8K 3D digital dome theatre.

Allyson Coyne, Public Engagement Specialist at U.S. Embassy Singapore, offered welcoming remarks at the premier after which the travel trade and media were presented with multi-state itineraries available in the United States beyond gateway cities. After the screening, a network luncheon was held, and guests expressed their interest in sharing more about the USA on their respective platforms.

 

Taiwan: Cathay Pacific co-host fam to Seattle, Washington 
"Brand USA was thrilled to partner with Cathay Pacific Airways to host Taiwan travel professionals on this familiarization tour," said Chris L. Thompson, president and CEO of Brand USA. “The new non-stop service provides convenient options for those traveling from Asia to Seattle – an exciting urban city surrounded by unmatched natural beauty. We believe that this new route will create more demand for both business and leisure travelers.”

The fam tour was coordinated with Visit Seattle, Travel Oregon, and Travel Portland. The attractions the participants visited included the Space Needle, Museum of Pop Culture, and Sky View Observatory in Seattle and the Silver Falls State Park, the Portland Ariel Tram, and the Portland Japanese Garden in Portland.  Those attending include Cola Tours, Lion Tours, Artisan Tours, SET Tour, and RTS Tours.

The group traveled on the airline’s inaugural, non-stop flight to Seattle, which Cathay Pacific launched on March 31.  It is the only airline directly connecting Hong Kong with the Seattle, the fastest-growing city on the west coast of the United States.  The new non-stop service to Seattle utilizes a state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 aircraft equipped with comfortable seating, an enhanced inflight entertainment system, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The non-stop service is provided four times per week. Seattle is Cathay Pacific’s eighth passenger gateway in the U.S. and its tenth in North America.

 

 

Hong Kong: Brand USA x United Airlines Incentive Fam 
In addition, Brand USA teamed up with United Airlines to host an incentive tour for eight travel wholesalers to San Francisco, California and Las Vegas, Nevada on May 26-31. In San Francisco, the travel representatives enjoy a bay cruise, a bus tour, a stunning sunset on Pier 39, and a walking tour to the new renovated Moscone which is the icon of contention area in San Francisco. They then traveled to Las Vegas, where they experienced the Cirque du Soleil, the High Roller Observation Wheel, the world’s tallest ferris wheel which is located on the Las Vegas strip.

United Airlines provides daily nonstop service with enhanced inflight services from Hong Kong to San Francisco, New York/Newark, and Chicago with connections to more than 280 destinations in the Americas. Customers will be able to relax and dine in United Polaris lounge in San Francisco with a similar lounge opening at Hong Kong International Airport scheduled to open.
