Brand USA – with Qantas Airways – hosted a MegaFam, or multi-itinerary U.S. familiarization trip, for travel agents from Australia, and for the first time, agents from New Zealand, in November 2014.
Fifty agents participated in the eight-day event – called the “Let Us Entertain You MegaFam” – because it featured a variety of live-entertainment venues.
After splitting into five groups, each agent embarked on one of five itineraries – Denver and other locations in Colorado; Washington, D.C., and New York; Nashville and other locations in Tennessee; Chicago; and ________, which was first listed as a mystery destination.
The agents then assembled in Texas for the MegaFam’s grand finale, where they explored Dallas and Fort Worth, and shared their travel experiences with each other through group presentations.
Brand USA had previously arranged a MegaFam for Australian agents in 2013.
