United Airlines is celebrating 30 years of service between the United States and China. In tribute to the 2016 U.S. - China Tourism Year, United Airlines partnered with Brand USA to host the first MegaFam for travel agents from China October 19-26, 2016.  This familiarization tour allowed 50 agents – from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Xian, Hangzhou, Nanjing, and Wenzhou – to experience the wide array of travel opportunities in the United States.

Agents were assigned to one of five itineraries that showcased the unique experiences across the USA. After exploring the continental United States, they then traveled to California to join all of the other agents for the MegaFam’s finale event.  The finale event is an opportunity for all agents to share the highlights from their respective itineraries, therefore enabling them to go home and share stories and experiences from these destinations.

The five U.S. itineraries were:

  • NY – New England
  • DC – Baltimore – Philadelphia
  • Chicago – South Dakota
  • Los Angeles – Las Vegas
  • Denver – Houston
