Brand USA Engages the Travel Trade in Poland

On Wednesday, November 6, 2019, Poland became the 39th country to be included in the Visa Waiver Program. To mark this achievement and to foster relationships between the United States and the Polish travel trade, the U.S. Commercial Service in Warsaw hosted the National Travel and Tourism Office and Brand USA for a day of roundtables and other events.

Attending on behalf of Brand USA, Aaron Wodin-Schwartz, along with Deputy Assistant Secretary for Travel and Tourism, Phil Lovas, met with high-level Polish tour operators and airline executives to discuss ways to better promote the USA in Poland, and welcome more Polish visitors to the United States.

After a day of successful meetings, the U.S. Commercial Service hosted a welcome reception at one of Warsaw’s most popular attractions, Hala Koszyki, where over two hundred guests from the tourism industry got together to network and watch "America’s Musical Journey" during its first screening in Poland.

With the inclusion of Poland in the Visa Waiver Program, we look forward to continuing to work with the travel trade in the region as we welcome more and more polish people to visit the USA.
