Brand USA Joins Visit USA at Global Tradeshow in Milan

Next month, Brand USA returns for the second straight year as an exhibitor at BIT, the annual international tourism exchange in Milan, Italy, set for Feb. 10-12. Along with other exhibitors, the destination-marketing organization for the United States will have a dedicated space at the Visit USA booth.

Since BIT began in 1980, it has allowed tour operators, suppliers and other members of the international travel industry to convene in the Italian market for a yearly exposition.

BIT, last year, drew 46,000 visitors from 128 countries. The show allowed 1,500 hosted buyers to meet with 1,300 exhibitors. (Nearly one of every five exhibitors came from one of 72 countries.) Additionally, 2,050 journalists from 36 countries, and 500 travel bloggers attended.

Typically, BIT presents more than 100 conferences and seminars to provide tourism professional with industry updates and trends.

The first day of this year’s BIT, Sunday, Feb. 10, is open to the general public, and the next two days are exclusively for industry professionals. Fiera Milano is the organizer of the show.
