Brand USA celebrates the India premiere of “America’s Musical Journey”

To celebrate the global streaming launch of “America’s Musical Journey” on GoUSA TV, Brand USA hosted movie premiere events in New Delhi and Mumbai on November 19 and 21, respectively.

The movie premiere was held at the IMAX ® theater in New Delhi and Mumbai, followed by cocktails and dinner at an upscale restaurant in New Delhi and at the grand St. Regis hotel in Mumbai. The audiences were treated to a delightful solo country musician in New Delhi and a prominent popular Indian blues band in Mumbai.

The premiere events were attended by 370+ guests and was an important networking opportunity to engage with key tour operators, travel agents, U.S. Embassy, U.S. Consulate General Mumbai, media, U.S. Commercial Service, airlines, along with the movie partners, Air Canada and Expedia.

The “America’s Musical Journey” premiere gave the Indian audience an immersive giant-screen experience. The movie follows singer/songwriter Aloe Blacc, who traces the roots of American music and explores the great musical cities—places like New Orleans, Louisiana; Chicago, Illinois; Nashville, Tennessee; Miami, Florida; New York City, New York, and more—where such electrifying music stles, such as jazz, the blues, country, soul, and rock and roll— were born.  The film was well received by the attendees as it provided a whole new outlook for travel to the USA.

Jason Pacheco, global trade development consultant for Brand USA, and James Namude, director of global sponsorships for Brand USA, were also in India to promote America’s music heritage. Other important attendees included Erick Kish, Commercial Attaché, U.S. Commercial Service, John Tory- director of business development at Air Canada; and David Ranz- Consul General, U.S. Consulate Mumbai who addressed the audience along with Jason Pacheco from Brand USA.

Indian travelers are increasingly looking for opportunities to explore new people, places, and experiences and this movie has been inspiring to go beyond the major gateways.

Brand USA Sponsors ‘United Airlines’ San Francisco – New Delhi non-stop flight launch along with San Francisco Travel Association

To celebrate the launch of United Airline’s new direct route between Delhi and San Francisco, a launch event was organized at the iconic Imperial Hotel in New Delhi. United Airlines has officially commenced the new non-stop service between San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi (DEL) from Dec. 7, 2019.

Brand USA was the one of the sponsors of the event along with San Francisco Travel which was attended by 120+ Guests which senior management of travel trade industry (tour operators and travel agencies), representatives from the U.S. Embassy and U.S. Commercial Services, senior officials from Delhi International Airport, aviation industry executives, San Francisco Travel Association, and Brand USA.

This came soon after Brand USA and United Airline’s announcement of a multi-year, global sponsorship agreement on Nov. 7, 2019 to promote international travel across the United States.

The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will operate daily during the winter months and three times weekly in summer. United’s new flight is the first to be operated by a U.S. carrier between the two cities and is the airline’s third daily nonstop service from India in addition to the existing daily services from Mumbai and New Delhi to New York/Newark.

Leveraging on the expanding network of direct non-stop flights by United Airlines in the Indo-U.S. sector, the event showcased the United States as a preferred holiday destination for the Indian visitors to, through and beyond the gateways.

Thorsten Lettnin, managing director – continental Europe and India, acknowledged the support from Brand USA and invited Sheema Vohra, managing director – Brand USA India, to address the audience.

This is United Airlines’ first nonstop service from the U.S. West Coast to India, and will enhance the India – U.S. route network by providing Indian tourists with more travel choices. With a network of connections from San Francisco to destinations across the U.S., the new United Airlines service opens up fresh opportunities for both leisure and business travelers.
