Brand USA Trains Hundreds of Travel Agents throughout India

Nearly 860 agents across nine cities in India have completed training through Brand USA’s Discover USA educational seminars, learning about diverse travel experiences to the United States.

Brand USA educated the agents – from Ahmedabad, Pune, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi - about destinations beyond U.S. gateway cities and how to promote those to their clients.  Travelers in India prefer new and diverse travel excursions for their holiday travel.

This program - one of Brand USA India’s most successful training programs - offered the India travel trade an opportunity to meet one-on-one with destination partners, including:  Choose Chicago, Destination DC, Experience Kissimmee, Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board, Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau, San Francisco Travel Association, Travel Nevada, Visit California, and Visit Mammoth Lakes.

India, a growing source market for U.S. travel, is a country with more than 50 million passport holders and that number is expected to increase.

Meanwhile, Brand USA participated in the Times Travel Show 2019 on February 23-24 at the MMRDA Grounds in Mumbai.  The event, which attracted nearly 6,200 participants, offered leisure travelers, backpackers, adventurers, and trade members a platform to sample the presentations of destinations, travel agents, hotels, resorts, airlines, and cruise liners.

Brand USA’s booth included Cox and Kings and Travel Tours sales representatives, who promoted USA products to the nearly 400 participants who visited the booth.
