Occupying a high-traffic position on the show floor, the 860-square-foot Brand USA pavilion received support from the Visit USA Association Italy and the U.S. Commercial Service in Milan. The Rimini marketplace, for Brand USA, is an important event for cultivating outbound travel from Italy.

The current year has been on track to become a high-water mark for travel from Italy to the United States.

Through the first four months of 2018, according to the U.S. National Travel and Tourism Office, the level of Italian arrivals in the USA was up 1 percent over 2017, a year in which more than a million visitors from Italy came to the United States.

Italy ranks as the fourth-largest, European source market for inbound tourism to the USA, and the 12th-largest international source market, overall.

The city of Rimini is located on the Adriatic Coast in northern Italy, south of Bologna.
