Another Successful Brand USA Pavilion in Singapore

ITB Asia in Singapore, the annually held three day B2B trade show and convention for the travel industry, “Asia’s Leading Travel Trade Show”, took place October 16-18 with over 1,300 exhibitors, 1,250 hosted buyers, and 13,000 trade visitors in attendance.  This year, the show saw continued growth with more than 27,000 scheduled business appointments with top international buyers from the MICE, leisure and corporate travel markets, a 7.4% increase over last year.

The over 100sqm (1,163sqft) Brand USA supported USA Pavilion, right off a main aisle, was comprised of 23 exhibitors, including major destinations like San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Alaska.  The increased interest in destination USA and the clear visibility from the hall entrance contributed to excellent foot traffic and busy schedules, as reported by the U.S. exhibitors.

Jack Slim, General Manager of Ko’a Kea Hotel & Resort, was very pleased with his participation in the Pavilion, commenting: “We really appreciated the opportunity to be featured in the Brand USA Pavilion, allowing for maximum visibility and client access.  The Brand USA Pavilion was very well organized, and the exhibitor lounge always provides a welcome respite from the busy show floor.  We look forward to a continued partnership at future events.”

Southeast Asia remains a key source market for Brand USA, who has supported the U.S. participation at ITB Asia through Brand USA Pavilions since 2013, and the success of the program is best illustrated by the rising number of inbound arrivals from Southeast Asia, totaling 810,000 in 2018 and projected to grow by 44 percent to 1.2 million by 2023.
