The Brand USA Pavilion again offers exhibition space for its travel industry partners at WTM Latin America, March 31 – April 2, 2020, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. WTM Latin America is a leading conduit for accessing the Latin American outbound-travel sector.

It is one of seven World Travel Market shows around the globe. The 2019 edition of WTM Latin America had 600 exhibitors from more than 50 countries, and drew nearly 8,000 trade visitors and about 675 members of the media.

Brand USA maintains a year-round presence in the Brazilian market through its office in Sao Paulo, one of the 16 Brand USA international outposts.

Recently, Brand USA Brazil wrapped up its 11-city Educational Seminar Roadshow through Brazil. The roadshow, which ran from 2018 into 2019, featured 19 U.S. suppliers. By the close of the roadshow, more than 600 Brazilian travel agents had received training for selling U.S. travel products.

Brand USA Brazil, during the roadshow, also hosted a luxury-style luncheon in Rio de Janeiro and a MICE luncheon in Sao Paulo. (MICE refers to the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions sector of travel.)

The 19 partners on the just completed roadshow included: Travel South USA; Cruise America; Hertz; Visit Florida; TPI Global; Paradise Coast; The Palm Beaches; Chicago Travel & Tours; American Airlines; San Francisco Travel; Simon Shopping Destinations; Experience Kissimmee; Visit St. Pete/ Clearwater; Best Western Resorts, Las Vegas; Choose Chicago; Visit California; RCD Hotels; and Copa Airlines.

A new two-year roadshow begins soon.

During 2018, 2.2 million travelers from Brazil arrived in the United States. This was a 16 percent jump over the previous year and allowed Brazil to rank as the seventh-largest source market for inbound U.S. travel. Brazil was also in a virtual tie with the sixth-largest market, South Korea, and just slightly ahead of Germany.
