Brand USA, Odeon Host Free “America’s Musical Journey” Screenings for UK Consumers

Audiences across the United Kingdom have recently come to five free, public screenings of “America’s Musical Journey,” courtesy of Brand USA and Odeon. (Odeon is part of Europe’s largest cinema operator).

“America’s Musical Journey,” released early last year, traces the development of signature American styles of music as they relate to iconic locations across the United States. It’s the second, giant-screen documentary that Brand USA has produced in partnership with independent filmmaker MacGillivray Freeman.

The public screenings in the UK were in London, Manchester, Brighton, and Oxford. A fifth and final free screening was held in Edinburgh, March 27. In addition to free admission, audiences at the screenings were treated to free popcorn and wine. Viewers left the screenings with greater familiarity and interest in the evolution of American music, event organizers said. Additionally, the film has presented viewers with a more enticing awareness of U.S. destinations and their connections to different styles of music in the USA.
