Students are heading back to school around the world this month, as families and individual travelers, alike, are still reeling from the excitement of their summer vacations. All of us at Brand USA remain focused on our mission to welcome international visitors to experience the diverse destinations of the United States. We do this through innovative marketing programs that help our partners attract those visitors to the USA.

First-Ever Brand USA Video Storytelling Awards Announced at ESTO

Congratulations are in order for Destination DC and the New Mexico Tourism Department, which received the inaugural Brand USA Video Storytelling Awards in recognition of their compelling and inspiring video content. Brand USA's President and CEO Chris Thompson announced the winners during a luncheon at the U.S. Travel Association’s 36 th Annual ESTO conference, the premier annual learning and knowledge-sharing forum for destination marketing professionals, held on August 17-20 in Austin, Texas.

Brand USA France Celebrates July 4th and American Cuisine

Over 230 travel trade professionals gathered on a river boat in Paris with Brand USA to celebrate the Fourth of July and to showcase the USA as a premier travel destination. The nation’s destination marketing organization, partnering with American Airlines, offered the travel trade representatives delectable U.S. cuisine and drinks and entertainment them with band playing American music – all to honor Independence Day in the U.S. William Mondello, manager of Brand USA in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg, spoke on all the diverse destinations available in the U.S. for international travelers.

Red, White, and Brand USA: Supporting Independence Day Celebrations Around the World

In July, U.S. Embassies and Consulates across the globe celebrated Independence Day by hosting receptions attended by local business, political, and military leaders. Brand USA supported several of these events as close-to-home as Canada and as far away as South Korea. In each post, Brand USA’s logo and Visit the USA branding was prevalent, and guests were able to take home Inspiration Guides and other items that would encourage them to consider the United States as their next travel destination.
