Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian Resort Las Vegas Begins Installation on a New Dragon Art Display to Celebrate Chinese New Year - Installation Will Take Place on January 20
Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas partnered with Parker 3D to bring to life a dazzling new dragon art installation in honor of the Lunar New Year. Once complete, the interactive display will stand over eight feet tall and measure an impressive 34 feet long. The dragon body will be covered in 5 miles of metallic stranded material and lit by 13,750 computer programmed LED lights with sparkle strobes. The beast is powered by 5.2 miles of copper wire and feature a theatrical smoke show that will create the perfect photo opportunity for awestruck guests.
Located near Kate Spade New York and Louis Vuitton, the festive dragon will be constructed with a metal frame and chromed polyester metallic foliage that compliments its gold accents, along with a face a made of hard coated CNC foam.
Thousands of heavily lit warm white lights will be buried in the foliage and programmed with a tiny strobe effect that radiates the holiday spirt to all.
