USA Chosen as the Best Long Haul Destination in French Travel Awards

The United States was chosen as the “2017 Best Long Haul Destination” in the first annual Tendance du Travel’s awards.

Brand USA’s office for France, Luxembourg, and Belgium accepted the top award in the leisure category from TendanceNomad, a monthly French Travel Trade magazine which focuses on travel trends and new strategies for travel professionals.  The award was announced during ceremony on January 31.

“We are honored to accept this award on behalf of the United States of America,” said Brand USA President and CEO Chris Thompson.  “To have the vote of confidence from French travel professionals confirms what we’ve been saying:  The United States continues to be an aspirational travel destination and we welcome international visitors to come and experience all our country has to offer.”

TendanceNomad partnered with Les Entreprises du Voyages, LEVENEMENT, ADONET, Air France and Pro Sky to stage the first annual Tendance Du Travel awards.

A total of 250 travel professionals were surveyed to choose the best long-haul destination out of a choice of six – the United States, Vietnam, Mexico, Thailand, Colombia and South Korea.
