Allyson Carpenter is senior manager, partner engagement in the west for Brand USA, the nation’s destination marketing organization with the mission of increasing international visitation to the United States, fueling the nation’s economy, and enhancing the image of the USA worldwide.
In this role, Allyson - who joined Brand USA in April 2019 - is responsible for developing relationships and maximizing partner participation in Brand USA’s cooperative marketing programs in the western part of the United States.
Prior to joining Brand USA, Allyson spent over 16 years in the travel and tourism industry, with the last 11 years focused on integrated marketing. Most recently, she served as a market development manager for Air New Zealand with the responsibility of growing revenue through strategic cooperative marketing initiatives and experiential events. She previously worked at Virgin Australia, most recently as a sales and marketing coordinator. Her role was integral the Tourism Australia marketing partnership during a time of tremendous growth for the airline. Preceding aviation, she worked in various sales and marketing roles for The Travel Corporation and started her career at the Disneyland Resort. Allyson is a member of the American Market Association and the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society.
She has been awarded two Bronze Lions at Cannes Lions in 2018 for “Losers’ Paradise,” a social media campaign that positioned Australia as the perfect post-Super Bowl destination. She also was recognized as a brand ambassador at Virgin Australia for customer excellence in 2013.
An avid traveler, Allyson has visited 27 countries, and 30 states and U.S. territories, along with Washington, DC. She loves learning how to make local favorites at cooking classes so she can relive the flavors of her travels at home. In her free time, she volunteers at For Goodness Cakes, an organization that bakes birthday cakes for at-risk and disadvantaged youth.
Allyson is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach with a bachelor’s in recreation and leisure services and Texas A&M University, Commerce with a master’s in business administration. A life-long Californian, she currently resides in Long Beach, California.
