Nthanze Kariuki is coordinator, media producer for Brand USA, the nation’s destination marketing organization with the mission of increasing international visitation to the United States, fueling the nation’s economy, and enhancing the image of the USA worldwide. In this role, Nthanze is responsible for managing Brand USA’s Digital Asset Management system (DAM) and other content needs including internal and external team support, help streamline processes, and track content and development.
Prior to joining Brand USA, Nthanze was on the operations team for streaming services at National Geographic and Paramount+. She received her bachelor’s degree in Journalism from United States International University Africa in Kenya before continuing on to receive her master’s degree in Film and Media Arts from American University in Washington D.C. A filmmaker at heart, Nthanze has had her work be semi-finalists at the LA Indie Shorts Film Festival and Virginia Emerging Filmmakers Festival, as well as a finalist at the Bethesda Film Festival.
Nthanze loves cats, fostering numerous through City Kitties DC. She is originally from Nairobi, Kenya and has ventured to eight states and six countries so far. Her favorite travel destination is the island country of Mauritius and greatly enjoyed watching her parents first bowling experience when they visited her in the USA.
