Olivia Silverman-Franklin is coordinator, global trade development (U.K., Europe, and India) for Brand USA, the nation’s destination marketing organization with the mission of increasing international visitation to the United States, fueling the nation’s economy and enhancing the image of the USA worldwide. In this role, Olivia supports Brand USA’s global trade department in the creation of international marketing and education programs.
This is Olivia’s first position directly in the travel and tourism industry but she does have past experiences assisting her mother with exchange student coordination for a tour operator in Spain, as well as growing up as a host sister to numerous exchange students. Olivia received her bachelor’s degree in International Business from Pace University, with a concentration in Travel & Tourism. While in school, she volunteered with the GlamourGals Foundation, spending time connecting with residents at senior homes.
Olivia loves checking out local restaurants, movie nights with friends, being fortunate to live at the beach, cooking, and of course spending quality time with her two cats and husband. She is originally from Wareham, Massachusetts, and her domestic and international travel lists continue to grow. Her favorite travel memories are visiting her past exchange students overseas, seeing where they live and eat, while also meeting their extended families and friends. She recommends Basque Country in Spain as her favorite travel destination.
