Stanley Mattos is vice president, financial operations and facilities operations for Brand USA, the public-private partnership responsible for launching the United States’ first-ever nationally coordinated tourism marketing effort.  Stan is responsible for carrying out all directives and initiatives of the Chief Financial Officer, providing leadership to operational units, completing organization-wide projects, and effectively communicating with all Brand USA stakeholders, both internal and external.

Before joining Brand USA, Stan was a Managing Director with Apex Consulting Services Group, responsible for business development and service delivery of information technology consulting services to state and local government clients.  His previous leadership positions have included Principal with KPMG, Senior Vice President with Alltel, Managing Director with BearingPoint, and Partner with Unisys.

Recently, Stan directed the successful build out of Brand USA’s headquarters, a 24,000-square foot facility.  He also led the deployment of the company’s new financial management system, and improvements to various processes and procedures used throughout the company.  They include improved annual budget development and financial forecast processes.

A Juran Institute certified Six Sigma Black Belt, and a retired United States Marine Corps officer, Stan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Syracuse University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix.

Brand USA, the destination marketing organization for the United States, was established by the Travel Promotion Act as the nation's first public-private partnership to promote the United States as a premier travel destination and to communicate U.S. travel policies and procedures to worldwide travelers. Formed as the Corporation for Travel Promotion in 2010, the public-private entity began operations in May 2011 and does business as Brand USA.
