Brand USA South Korea’s New USA Consumer Campaign with Hana Tour

Brand USA South Korea partnered with Hana Tour on a new “Go USA” consumer campaign which is expected to reach over 13 million Koreans per month in a bid to encourage them to visit the United States.

This campaign comes at a time when the total number of Korean visitors to the U.S. increased by nearly 12 percent in 2016.

Brand USA and Hana Tour, the nation’s largest wholesale travel agency, want to make sure those numbers continue to rise.  The campaign, running from November to December, aggressively features the United States across the agency’s multi-media marketing channels with an expected audience of over 13 million Koreans for each month.

Hana Tour created multi-destination tour packages for the promotion using key gateway-and-beyond tour products.  Hot deals and offers will be featured through all related promotional materials, such as online special event pages, consumer pages and more.

Hana Tour owns 1,223 branded sales agencies, 280 affiliated agencies, and has over 7,000 retail chain agents.

South Korea is an important market for Brand USA.  In 2016, the number of South Korean visitors to the U.S. totaled 1,973,936, which represents an 11.8 percent increase over 2015.  The number of South Korea visitors in comparison to other countries ranked seventh, up from eighth in 2015.  In 2017, the visits from South Korea registered a 32.5 percent growth because of two Korean holidays in May and September which lasted for maximum of ten days.
