BRAND USA INDIA TRAVEL TRADE FAM TOUR
Brand USA India successfully completed a travel trade familiarization tour in the Southeast region of the United States for product developers from India.
Brand USA India completed a successful travel trade familiarization tour for product developers, who experienced firsthand the exciting destinations that the United States has to offer.
The tour, centered on the theme "Southern Musical Trail and held July 30 to August 8, brought together six senior product developers from Mumbai, Hyderabad and New Delhi for the trip that included visits to Nashville, Memphis, Natchez, and New Orleans.
The developers met with travel agents and destination suppliers for very productive, business-to-business sessions in Nashville and New Orleans.


USA DISCOVERY PROGRAM
The travel trade in India has passed the 10,000 badges mark for training on the Brand U.S. Discovery Program, the official travel agent training platform for the USA’s premier destination marketing organization.
The total number of badges was 10,255 among the 4,546 active Indian travel trade users. The training platform, launched in 2013, now features courses and badges for travel agents to become experts in United States travel opportunities. Agents access these travel topics through a series of online learning modules.
BRAND USA INDIA SALES MISSION 2018
The largest U.S. delegation took part in the seventh annual India Sales mission, to be held in Mumbai, New Delhi, and Bengaluru.
The mission, which took place September 23-28, involved e a U.S. contingent of 42 companies and 63 delegates that will met the travel trade in India.
The sales mission provides a platform for U.S. destination marketing organizations and suppliers to directly interact with tour operators, airline representatives, travel agents, meeting, incentives, conventions and expositions (MICE) buyers and the media.
India, a growing source market for U.S. travel, is a country with more than 50 million passport holders and that number is expected to increase.
